Polka Dots + Snowflakes

Hi everyone! How's your life going? Finally, I'm back on track with blogging and many other things that I haven't been able to do due to my back injury. It was a perfect time to injure something (it's a joke in case you think I'm being serious). All this time it was extremely cold here in New York, one snow storm after another. So, I guess what I meant to say is that I didn't really feel like I was missing out on a lot of fun. But, now I'm feeling better than ever and sooo ready for spring.

I can't even put into words how ready I am. Can't wait to see people wearing bright colors and light jackets. Not to say that dark colors aren't fun. I think, it's just the matter of adding fun elements. For example, here I wore a shirt with polka dots. I also added triangle bracelets to make the entire look more interesting to explore. This kind of looks can be worn to special occasions, or you can even go clubbing. I like wearing loose tops because they are comfortable and they allow me to move around freely as if I'm in my PJs. Simple Hungry Vampire Look

Hi, guys! Hope you guys had a good weekend. Weekends are always fun, even when you stay home and do nothing, it still feels fun. Speaking of fun, are you guys ready for Halloween? Have you decided what you are going to be for Halloween? If not, there are many characters you can create by using what you already have. If you guys remember, I mentioned that I had a cool idea for Halloween in my previous blogpost. The idea I had in mind was this super easy Hungry Vampire look.

Basically, I wore all black and used lots of powder to make my skin look sickishly pale. But, for some reason it looks not as pale as I would've expected it to look. Originally, I intended to create the vampire look, but I think it looks like a zombie. Whatever it is, it looks spooky. Good thing, no one saw my face while we were shooting this pictures. It was around midnight, and luckily people were still asleep while I broke into a pet shop and sucked out two puppies' blood. Even though, I really like human blood, especially, type 2. It is the most aromatic and delicious kind. Though, I have to admit that the puppies' blood wasn't bad at all. If you are a dog lover then we have a lot of things in common. Hehe.

Ok ok let's put the jokes aside. So, if you can't think of anything for Halloween be a vampire/zombie. Just wear all black from head-to-toe. Make your face look pale by using lighter foundation or powder. Use some red or pink eyeshadows under your eyes to create a hungry-for-blood look. You can also contour your face for sharper facial features. This step is optional. Only if you know the contouring techniques. You can always find how-to tutorials on Youtube. Oh, don't forget to draw the bulging veins on your neck. You can easily draw branching lines with a contouring brush or with any thin brush.

Another important tip is that you must act like a vampire. Be quiet, turn your head slowly, keep your eyes wide open then squint a little from time to time. Make sudden moves, move your hands as if they are stiff. You can hiss, sniff, stare. Feel like you are a real vampire and have fun with it. As you can see I had lots of fun being a hungry vampire. All Black + Faux Red Leather Jacket

Hi, everyone! Hope you guys are enjoying your weekdays. I've been enjoying a lot of things lately. Starting with my morning coffee and finishing with herbal tea that I have before going to bed every night. Yesterday, I went to a Turkish store and bought different kinds of herbal tea. I specifically picked the kinds I've never had before (rosehip, rose petal and mixed herbs). They all turned out to be really good. So, the money I spent was well worth the risk I took by not knowing if they taste good or bad.

Speaking of not knowing... This Sunday, me and my brother decided to stroll around the city with no plan and a specific destination. First, it felt kinda weird. I felt like finding a specific location by googling or yelping, then I decided not to do it. Just wandering around the city is a luxury in New York where people always rush and have a gazillion things to do in a day. Imagine if someone asked us that night, "Where are you guys going?" And we would, of course, answer," Well, we don't know, we just gonna wander around the city." Sounds very touristy right? Even tourists know where they wanna go and what they wanna see.

Anyways, it turned out to be great. We even bumped into Chef Russel Jackson (Food Network star) and took a picture with him. He was super nice and sweet, he even gave us his business card. Will post the picture later. First, I want to email him and ask if it's ok with him. I can assume that he wouldn't mind, but you never know. So, after, wandering around the area for a while we got hungry as wolves. Then we decided to look around and find a place to eat. The only certainty was that we both wanted Asian food. Then we found a small Vietnamese restaurant  which turned out to be amazing. The food was really good. I mean, really really good. It's our favorite now.

And these pictures are from that night. Oh, by the way, how do you like my red faux leather jacket? Don't mean to brag though. I wore it with all black outfit to create a sharp contrast. This look can easily be worn for night outs and special occasion dinners. You may want to change the boots for something more dressier. If the dinner is really "special."
