Squares And Diamonds

Hi everyone! It's Saturdaaay!!! And it's finally warming up here in New York. I can wear flats and spring colors very soon, can't wait. For now enjoy this squares with diamonds combo. This kind of vintage-like recycled denim jacket can be a practical addition to your spring wardrobe. I mean any denim jacket works, but we want it to be interesting with a little twist. I combined it with a geometric patterned dress that's been hanging in my closet for at least 5 years.

There are many beautiful geometric patterned dresses available online and in-stores. If you have never worn geometric patterned clothes then you should definitely try. Again, I apologize for not knowing the brands of the clothes I'm wearing here. The dress is ancient and it has no inside tag. But I am putting links down below for similar styles. So no worries. Hope you enjoyed the look. Have a great day/night! I'll see you guys soon!

I'm wearing BCBG shoes here

Love Is In The Air

Yup! Love is in the air! I think it's not only because of the coming Valentine's Day, but also because of the weather. As you can see, it snowed a lot. Then the temperature warmed up right away creating a big slushy mess all over the city. But, hey, the sun is out so no complains. I took my floral Keds out of the box that's been in my closet for two months already. I bought them on sale for sixteen dollars. Whoohoo! I think they are perfect for a casual Valentine's Day date.

I would suggest adding some bright floral items to your outfit. It could be a cute floral top, pants or shoes etc. One, because floral prints always look good. Two, they make you feel flirtatiously feminine. Of course, you can always go for red colored items. But, remember, what you wear is not the most important thing. The most important thing is how you feel, and how other people feel when they are around you. So, let's feel confidently happy. Enjoy your day. I'll see you guys soon.

Sorry for my tensed look. The sun was shining bright and it was hard for me look at the camera:)

Lauren Conrad blazer, WhoAU skinny jeans, Keds shoes, and a Love pajama gown which kept shrinking after each wash until it became a shirt size small. Oh, and the floral headband is a dress belt:) Here's the link to where another look I used the same belt as a purse strap:

An Oversized Hoodie + Cute Beanie

Hey guys! How's your week going? It's been extremely cold here in New York. Right now I'm sitting in a cozy warm coffee and tea cafe with good music and having hot strawberry-kiwi tea. Soo inspiring...I'm taking a picture of the place so you guys can feel the vibe. It is one of those unfamous local places in the neighborhood where everybody knows each other. Starbucks is used to be one of my favorite places to go to, but since I quit drinking coffee I stopped going there because their tea assortments don't really suit my taste.

But, you know, while one door closes another one opens. I've discovered this cozy place where they have a much better tea selection and they freshly brew their tea. I really like it. This is a small change that I'm glad I made. Another change I am making is my diet. I've been eating clean, mostly organic. I'm planning to stick to it permanently, but it is too soon to make any statements. I'll let you know in 3 months.  As they say, in order to adopt a new habit permanently you need 90 days. You can follow me on Instagram for daily foodspiration and some random pics of me:) My username is @go_after_dream

Here, I am wearing my brother's hoodie. When a hoodie oversized it feels so right. It is not only comfortable, but somehow it makes you feel chic. And if you wear it with a beanie then cuteness is guaranteed. Shhhh...it's a secret:) I really like the bunny beanie which I bought at a local Chinese store for $5 dollars. They had other cute beanies, so will make another trip soon. Then, the skirt I'm wearing here is from China as well. I bought it when I was an exchange student many years ago. There are few favorite items I still have in my closet from the Chinese street markets.  You guys, probably, know that the socks are from Kyrgyzstan. My grandma sent them to me. I've talked about them in one of the older posts. I'll post the link below. So, that's it for today. Hope you enjoyed it. See you soon! Stay motivated and focused on your goals:)

Old Navy Hoodie, Steve Madden sneaker wedges, grandma's hand-knitted socks to keep my feet warm in this cold weather:)

Olive Green Love

Hi guys! Hope you guys are doing well. Needless to say, but I've been super busy lately. And I am still reminding myself not to forget to enjoy little moments. Most importantly, I have not forgotten about you guys. Good news, we are expanding. New subscribers every day which I'm greatful for. It means my work is being recognized and there are people who like what I do. Thank you for subscribing and joining to thehappyhandsandfeet.com. You can definitely join to styletoscha.blogspot.com. I have a lot more to offer and it's just the beginning.

Speaking of the beginnings, how are you going to begin 2014? Have you made your new year's resolution yet? I'm in the process of sorting through the things I would want to achieve this coming year. Once Christmas is over I should be able to specify my plans for 2014. And the way I specify is I write down everything in my notebook. It helps me to get rid of of the vagueness and to clarify how I want to actualize the plans I've made for the future. Everybody has different kinds of goal-setting methods. Some people like to draw pictures of their goals, others like to create an inspiration board to remind themselves what needs to be accomplished. What is your method? Do you have one?

But, when it comes to creating looks I don't plan ahead. I just come to my closet and skim through the  clothes hanging in my closet and start taking out the pieces that might work together. For example, this olive green look was created in about 5 minutes. And I was pleased by the result. First, I pulled out the peplum top that my mom bought in Turkey. Then I instantly knew that I had a skirt that matched with the skirt. And the corset style summer crop top was added for that touch of Toscha. lol.

I thought I didn't have anything that would say "Oh, that's how Toscha would style." But, I think I actually do. I just realized that I like to add something confusingly complementing. I knew I liked some sort of twists to the looks I create, but it's becoming more apparent now. As strange as it may sound, but styling actually is helping me to get to know myself better. Hope you guys enjoyed this long post. Have a wonderful day or night. See you soon.

Zara peplum top, Tjmaxx crop top, American Outfitters skirt, Steve Madden sneaker wedges, handmade silver earrings from Kyrgyz Republic, don't remember the bracelet's brand (sorry).

Cropped Denim Jacket Look

Hi everyone! Today's post won't be long. Promise. It's 8:42 pm here in New York and I am feeling little tired. And while I am writing "I am feeling tired" I actually felt even more tired as if my body has been waiting for me to say it all day. Yes, I admit it, I do feel tired. But it's the good kind of exhaustion. It's the kind when you feel satisfied with yourself and with what you've done at the end of the day. Because, you did the best  you could for today. Hehe. See, how I convinced myself  to focus on what I've done today instead of focusing on the exhaustion itself? I am such a trickster!
I wish I could convince the cold weather to wait a little so I could wear light jackets and dresses little longer. Only a few days ago I could wear this cropped denim jacket with the striped dress. *Deep Sigh* And now it's too cold to wear this kind of outfit. See, how I'm starting to complain again? Ok, one good thing that the cold weather has brought was the craving for soup. And I had a really good Beef Barley soup today. Yum. I can still taste it in my mouth. Ok, few words on the outfit. Seriously, I was gonna right a short post with the outfit details only, and look at me now talking about Beef Barley soup. I just complained again, I guess.
Let me quickly wrap it up before I start writing about what I saw and how I felt in Central Park today. So, I really love  this cropped denim jacket for its versatility. This is only one of the gazillion ways you can wear the jacket with. You can wear it over long/short dresses, with skinny jeans, shorts, skirts, leggings I mean the list can go on and on. You know, how they say that every  girl must own a little black dress aka LBD. I think every girl must own a little cropped denim jacket because you will wear it a lot more often than your LBD. That's all I can say for now. Hope you enjoyed my "short" post. Have a great day or night! See you guys soon.
Strawberry denim jacket, Rampage striped dress, Elie Tahari wedges and a handmade cross-body bag from Kyrgyzstan. Oh, the bracelet is handmade too. I bought in New York.
