From Office to Party

So you are at work looking all classy wearing your cute blazer and skirt, but you know that you are going out after work. You wear a top underneath your blazer that has an interesting pattern, design, cut etc.

  Then when you are ready you unbutton your blazer and let your shirt loose instead of tucking in.

And your work look will transition into a party look. You can even take off your blazer later when you get hot partying hard. But, not too hard:)

Bright Patterns

Hi everyone! Hope life is being good to you all. It is still cold in New York which makes me crave for warmer weather more than ever. Good thing we don't live in caves anymore. At least we can stay in our warm houses and watch movies, read books, cook and even exercise. As long as what we do makes us happy. 

One of many things that make me happy is bright patterns like the ones on the dress I'm wearing here. I am a big sucker for patterns. When I saw this dress on a hanger I couldn't pass by it. I bought this dress on sale, I think, 3 years ago or maybe even 4. The fabric texture is not my favorite since it's polyester mixed with other stretchy fabric. Unlike silk and cotton, polyester is made out of  synthetic material. It's better not to wear polyester when it's too hot because it's not as breathable as other natural fabrics. But, the point is I still bought the dress because of it's patterns and design and I wore it only once for a special occasion where everybody loved the dress. Polka Dots + Snowflakes

Hi everyone! How's your life going? Finally, I'm back on track with blogging and many other things that I haven't been able to do due to my back injury. It was a perfect time to injure something (it's a joke in case you think I'm being serious). All this time it was extremely cold here in New York, one snow storm after another. So, I guess what I meant to say is that I didn't really feel like I was missing out on a lot of fun. But, now I'm feeling better than ever and sooo ready for spring.

I can't even put into words how ready I am. Can't wait to see people wearing bright colors and light jackets. Not to say that dark colors aren't fun. I think, it's just the matter of adding fun elements. For example, here I wore a shirt with polka dots. I also added triangle bracelets to make the entire look more interesting to explore. This kind of looks can be worn to special occasions, or you can even go clubbing. I like wearing loose tops because they are comfortable and they allow me to move around freely as if I'm in my PJs. Love Is In The Air

Yup! Love is in the air! I think it's not only because of the coming Valentine's Day, but also because of the weather. As you can see, it snowed a lot. Then the temperature warmed up right away creating a big slushy mess all over the city. But, hey, the sun is out so no complains. I took my floral Keds out of the box that's been in my closet for two months already. I bought them on sale for sixteen dollars. Whoohoo! I think they are perfect for a casual Valentine's Day date. 

I would suggest adding some bright floral items to your outfit. It could be a cute floral top, pants or shoes etc. One, because floral prints always look good. Two, they make you feel flirtatiously feminine. Of course, you can always go for red colored items. But, remember, what you wear is not the most important thing. The most important thing is how you feel, and how other people feel when they are around you. So, let's feel confidently happy. Enjoy your day. I'll see you guys soon.

White Beret + Peplum Top

Hey guys! How are you guys doing? Hope everything is well with you. We are in the midst of the winter now, and the weather is not getting any better, at least, here in New York. I was thinking of writing about something that I cannot remember now:). Nothing important, that's for sure. Let me just keep writing, maybe, in the process I will remember what it was. So, there are so many things I would like to bring forth this coming spring. So, please, stay tuned.  Oh by the way, are you guys getting ready for Valentine's Day? If you are not in a relationship then you suck! Just kidding:) Please, forgive me for my stupido jokes. Of course, this day is not only for couples. We can celebrate LOVE by letting our loved ones and friends know how much we love them. We should do it regularly, but this day is just another reminder that we should express our feelings of love and care more often. 

Ok, love is love and care is care, but what are you going to wear?:))) I have some pretty good ideas on what to wear if you are going out. The easiest bet would be a red dress with a red lip. But, that's too predictable which is fine because a lot of people don't wear red dresses often. I just realized myself that I've never worn a dress in my entire life! I guess I'm gonna have to wear one. lol. The Valentine's Day look is coming soon. For now, enjoy this pretty in pink look. The white beret is a really good idea if you want to look chic and well-put-together. Here, the hat brings out the peplum top's prettiness. I think they were meant to meet each other. Once the top was hanging in the store waiting for me to buy it while that hat was on the street sellers table waiting to meet it's "fabricmate." And I was the person who made it happen.
